The Project Story
The client approached Adhrysa Lifescience to develop a next-generation hydration powder stick range that combined rapid electrolyte replenishment with functional wellness benefits in convenient single-serve sachets. The vision was to create a portfolio of refreshing flavours—including Tropical, Mixed Berry, Strawberry & Lime, Orange & Peach, Lemon Lime & Mint, Coconut, and Night Recovery—designed for everyday hydration, sports recovery, immunity, sustained energy, and relaxation.
Our R&D team engineered highly soluble formulations enriched with balanced electrolytes, essential vitamins, botanical extracts, and functional ingredients while ensuring excellent taste, instant dispersion, and exceptional stability. Through multiple laboratory trials, ingredient compatibility studies, flavour optimisation, and pilot validation, we successfully transformed the concept into a commercially scalable hydration solution suitable for global retail and nutraceutical markets.
The Challenge
Developing multifunctional hydration formulations required achieving the perfect balance between electrolytes, vitamins, botanical actives, and flavour systems without compromising solubility or sensory quality. Several functional ingredients naturally introduced bitterness, mineral aftertaste, or flavour instability, making taste masking and flavour balancing a critical part of the formulation process.
Another major challenge was ensuring rapid dissolution without sedimentation while maintaining powder flowability, low moisture sensitivity, and long-term shelf stability. Individual variants containing caffeine, magnesium, herbal extracts, and immunity-support ingredients required separate optimisation to prevent ingredient interaction and preserve efficacy throughout storage. Packaging compatibility, humidity resistance, and manufacturing consistency were also validated before commercial scale-up.
