The Project Story
Developing a premium horse feed balancer requires more than simply blending grains and minerals—it demands a scientifically balanced nutritional solution that supports endurance, muscle development, digestive health, immunity, and recovery across different horse breeds and activity levels. Our R&D team partnered with the client to formulate a performance-focused equine nutrition supplement that delivers consistent nutrient density while maintaining excellent palatability and ease of daily feeding. The project also included the development of multiple formulations tailored for performance horses, breeding stock, young horses, and maintenance diets, ensuring every variant met stringent quality, stability, and nutritional standards.
The Challenge
Creating a balanced equine feed formulation involved addressing several formulation and manufacturing complexities. Achieving the ideal ratio of vitamins, trace minerals, amino acids, fibre, probiotics, and functional ingredients without compromising feed acceptance was a primary challenge. Maintaining ingredient stability during large-scale production, preventing nutrient degradation, ensuring uniform distribution of micronutrients, and producing a dust-free, free-flowing product with consistent pellet quality required extensive formulation optimisation and process validation. The product also needed to comply with modern animal nutrition standards while remaining cost-effective for commercial production.
