The Challenge
Developing a premium collagen superfood formulation required overcoming several technical challenges associated with combining collagen peptides, Vitamin C, botanical extracts, fruit powders, and plant-based superfoods into a single homogeneous powder.
Maintaining collagen integrity while ensuring compatibility with acidic fruit ingredients and antioxidant-rich botanical extracts required extensive formulation optimization. Achieving excellent solubility without sedimentation, minimizing hygroscopicity, and preventing flavour degradation during storage demanded multiple laboratory iterations.
Creating a refreshing citrus flavour while masking the characteristic taste of collagen peptides and botanical ingredients was another significant challenge. Additionally, the formulation needed to maintain excellent flowability, moisture control, blend uniformity, and nutritional stability throughout its intended shelf life while remaining suitable for large-scale commercial manufacturing.
