The Project Story
The objective was to combine 16 essential vitamins and minerals, Liposomal Vitamin C for enhanced bioavailability, and Coenzyme Q10 into a sugar-free gummy that supports immunity, energy metabolism, muscle function, cognitive performance, and overall wellness.
The product was designed for today’s health-conscious consumers seeking an alternative to traditional tablets and capsules without compromising efficacy. Our R&D team managed the complete product development lifecycle, including ingredient selection, formulation optimization, flavor development, laboratory validation, stability assessment, pilot-scale manufacturing, and commercial production support. Every stage focused on delivering superior nutritional performance, exceptional taste, and manufacturing consistency while meeting clean-label and consumer-friendly expectations.
The Challenge
Developing a multifunctional gummy containing a broad spectrum of vitamins, minerals, and specialty ingredients presented several formulation challenges. Maintaining the stability and bioavailability of Liposomal Vitamin C, Coenzyme Q10, and multiple micronutrients within a gummy matrix required extensive compatibility studies and process optimization.
Another significant challenge was masking the characteristic taste of vitamins and minerals while creating an enjoyable Wild Berry flavour with excellent consumer acceptance. The formulation also required balancing sweetness, acidity, chewiness, and moisture content to achieve a soft, consistent texture without compromising shelf life.
Ensuring uniform distribution of all active ingredients, preventing nutrient degradation during thermal processing, maintaining color stability, and achieving excellent shelf-life performance demanded multiple laboratory trials before the formulation was successfully scaled for commercial manufacturing.
