The Project Story
The objective was to formulate three targeted gummy variants—Beauty Gummies, Stress Support Gummies, and Daily Energy Gummies—using scientifically selected active ingredients while delivering superior texture, flavor, stability, and consumer appeal.
Adhrysa Lifescience partnered with the brand to transform the concept into a market-ready product portfolio through comprehensive formulation development, laboratory optimization, ingredient compatibility studies, pilot-scale validation, and commercial manufacturing support. Each formulation was carefully engineered to provide consistent active delivery, vibrant sensory characteristics, and excellent shelf stability while complying with global nutraceutical quality standards.
The Challenge
Developing functional gummies with multiple bioactive ingredients required balancing efficacy, taste, texture, and stability without compromising product quality. The formulation team faced challenges in incorporating heat-sensitive vitamins, botanical extracts, amino acids, and specialty nutrients while preserving their functionality throughout the gummy manufacturing process.
Achieving the desired chewiness, clarity, flavor masking, and color consistency demanded several formulation iterations. Each gummy variant required optimized processing conditions to ensure uniform active distribution, prevent ingredient degradation, and maintain excellent texture during storage.
Additionally, the formulations had to exhibit low moisture migration, controlled water activity, consistent weight uniformity, and extended shelf life while remaining suitable for large-scale commercial production. Ensuring compatibility between active ingredients, natural flavors, colors, and gelling systems was another critical aspect of the development process.
